I took this photograph in the city of Marseilles, France. On the promenade, near the harbor, there is a roof to protect people from the sun or the rain. This roof is covered on the inside by a huge mirror, and while I was myself walking on the sidewalk, I just raised my camera and took a photo of the mirror.
“As above, so below” says the Hermetic principle…but also the “opposite”. It is not only that the shadows appear to be somehow bigger than the physical body- this occurs anyway, depending on the hour of the day and the position of the sun- it is that, looking at our own reflection from below, it seems that the shadow has more weight and presence than the body itself.
What if our real internal size, was that of a giant? What if we could discover it and liberate our potential?
