In Edinburgh’s Old Town, in front of the cathedral. An ideal place for jugglers and other modern-day troubadours. I was attracted by the specific geometry of this situation, the cathedral’s steeple responding to the troubadour’s scale, drawing two vertical lines, linked by the horizontal line of the spectators. Here, geometry takes precedence over situation. As Henri Cartier-Bresson said: “Geometry is all that counts”.
