The ghost train

I really like this photo of the ghost train, which I find surprising and surreal. The man waiting for the train seems a bit out of place, with his flowery hat. But the strangest thing is the people on the moving train, whose silhouettes are indefinite and remind me of ghosts. Taking this train is a bit like passing through an airlock into another reality, a sort of parallel universe. What I like is to think that this airlock to another world – or perhaps another way of looking at and living in our world – is within everyone’s reach: there’s no need for science fiction or fantasy: all you have to do is get on the metro and dare to take a different look at the reality around you.
