When in Seoul, South-Korea, I walked in front of those four girls, each one plugged in her own world – that is, to her cellphone – as every young Korean.

Are they together? Apparently yes, physically yes. Well, they are close, they are in the same space, but …. are they communicating between them? I am really not sure, or if they were to be exchanging anything between them, it seems that it would be through their phone, sending “Kakao” texts (the Korean equivalent of our SMS)– seeming easier and more natural than opening their mouthes to speak.

Maybe this is the reason one of them has put a kind of plastic cube on her head- transparent enough to allow the use of the cellphone, but opaque enough to hide the head and to appear as a mirror when you look at it from outside.

But why would anyone with a clear mind have a “square” head ? A square – or in this case a cube – is something precise, delimited. So precise that it has to be “as it is”. It does not move, it does not change. “Square people” have strict habits, specific opinions and it is very difficult for them to move forward and discover new ways to apprehend life.

I would prefer to have a “sphere” head. And in fact, the natural shape of our head is spherical. From Atoms to Planets, the sphere appears to be the simplest but also the most perfect volume, the only one where all points in the surface are at the same distance from the center.

We could say that if our consciousness is in the center, then with a “spherical mind” we would not be closer, or more influenced by some ideas and concept than others. We would be at the same distance from all, keeping a perfect equilibrium, an independence of mind.

So… a “square head” ? No, thank you.
