From above, we are able to see with a deeper perspective. We can benefit from a more global view, and perceive elements which are hidden to us while we stay on ground level. It allows our vision to be less subjective, to perceive what other people see, and thus to have a better chance of sharing and elaborating a dialogue with them.
From above, we are able to hear sounds coming from far away. We escape the circle of opinions of those who are close to us, and we discover that there are more sounds to be heard, different opinions belonging to different people and to wider circles.
From above, we have a brighter consciousness. We can escape the dust and the obscurity, and reduce our distance from the sun. As we get closer to the light, we can more naturally recognizes the darkness in which we cyclically fall: the darkness of our personal weaknesses, whatever those may be, because everyone has their own. The light reminds us that there is a sun above the clouds and gives us the will to become who we aim to be.
Thus, the only question which really matters is: how can we raise our consciousness?
I believe the answer is to be discovered by those who have the need to search. If a child can climb a tree and experience the world from above, why can’t we?
